Wine cellar
The wine cellar
Next to the dining room, a stone vault from the old fishermen's quarter holds our selection.
Campania first
Fish from this gulf asks for wines that resemble it. That is why the backbone of our list is local: Fiano di Avellino and Greco di Tufo, Falanghina del Sannio, white Costa d'Amalfi, Ischia and the wines of the Campi Flegrei. Volcanic, saline, taut wines that stand up to a plate of raw fish and do not give way in front of a seafood pasta.
Beyond the region
Alongside Campania you will find the great Italian whites from Alto Adige to Sicily, a selection of Champagne and French sparkling wines, the reds worth drinking even with fish, and a closing shelf of spirits and after-dinner liqueurs. If you would rather be guided, ask for a wine pairing by the glass: we will tell you what we are pouring and why.
Drinking well by the glass
You do not need to open a serious bottle to drink well. We rotate a by-the-glass selection regularly, so each course can have the right wine without committing the whole dinner to a single label.
